“I continue to be amazed at the humbleness and Aloha spirit that the ambassadors of our sport bring forth,” elaborates Jeff Archer, co-founder of YOLO Board.  “In addition to being a paddling standout, Slater Trout is always willing to share his knowledge and his spirit with anyone who has an interest for SUP. The YOLO Board community sends a big thanks to Slater and Casey Trout for honoring us with their participation in our event.”

The Women’s Division 2nd and 3rd place finishers were the On the Coast Magazine and Bentley’s on the Bay while the Grayton Beach Fitness and Billabong Destin teams rounded out the top three for the Men.  The Sunset Beach Services and GUSU teams finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Elite Division. The next race event is scheduled for Thursday July 15th at Western Lake at the WaterColor BoatHouse.  The 29 teams will continue on to compete throughout the series as they vie for the champion title “YOLO Board Cup Series” to be awarded after the final race in August in each division.  Race dates (weather permitting) July 15th and August 19th.  Races begin at 5:00pm.
The final YOLO Stand-Up Paddle Series Family Day race is also scheduled for July 18th at Western Lake at the WaterColor BoatHouse at 5:00pm.  The lighthearted event offers children the opportunity to learn how to paddle and enjoy a little friendly competition out on the water.  Children participate in different types of paddleboard races including parent/child races, relay style races and individual races.  Entry fees are $25 per child with parents being free.  The children’s race fee includes a YOLO race jersey.
